Fastbraces® collapses both phases into one. The patented triangular bracket and a single heat-activated nickel-titanium wire move the crown and root simultaneously from the very first appointment, so there is no waiting for phase two. Fastbraces® applies lighter, more continuous forces than traditional braces do, which actually tends to produce less discomfort over the course of treatment. The faster timeline comes from the bracket and wire design, not from applying more pressure to your teeth. Most patients describe a short adjustment period in the first day or two after each appointment, which is typical of any orthodontic treatment, but ongoing soreness is not a normal feature of the Fastbraces® experience.
Fastbraces® is appropriate for both teens and adults, provided the patient's permanent teeth are fully erupted and the jaw has developed adequately for treatment.
